We Take Great Pride In Helping You!

Rocking L Equine is owned and operated by Miranda Holman originally from Brandenburg, Kentucky, currently residing in Seneca, IL, Grundy County. Our facility is resting on 40 acres of beautiful pasture.

Our barn is bathed in natural sunlight and offers a healthy environment for our horses. A state of the art, breathtaking facility with an indoor arena. Here at Rocking L Equine we sell a variety of horses from performance horse, ranch, trail, ponies and donkeys or just a companion horse.

Miranda is committed to be the contact that pairs buyer and horse together. She spends time with buyers to understand the needs of her customer. Finding a horse can be challenging. Miranda has been around horses her whole life. It is what her family loves. Miranda will ensure you find the perfect horse.

Miranda takes pride in operating an excellent equestrian facility. We believe care begins with love and respect for animals. My family’s passion is the love for horses. My three children Grayson, Mason and Lakota have been a huge asset to the business. It brings me great pleasure to continue this family legacy.

The Village of Seneca is home to 2,353 residents.  The village is rich in history and has many recreational options for its residents and visitors.  The community sits on the edge of the scenic Illinois River, which provides for many activities, such as boating, fishing, eagle watching, kayaking and viewing spectacular sunsets.

We have several marinas and a free public boat launch with access to the river, shelters for picnics and a safe, clean dock. The I&M Canal State Trail is a 61.5 mile state trail, which provides adventures for nature lovers, historians, photographers, hikers, bicyclists, joggers and snowmobilers.  Seneca has several parks available to its residents and visitors:

  • Crotty Park has a handicapped accessible playground, baseball field, basketball court, and a shelter that can be reserved for family parties, reunions and community events.
  • Graves Park is our newest sports park, with a baseball field, softball field, soccer field, playground equipment, a half mile walking path, and a concession stand.
  • The Seneca Bark Park, our brand new dog park, located at the LST Memorial Boat Launch, features a fenced in area with a view of the Illinois River.  Dogs must be kept on leashes outside of the fenced in area.

We also have numerous historical attractions such as the Hogan Grain Elevator on the I&M Canal, Seneca Area History Museum, LST Memorial in Crotty Park, and the Veterans Memorial Wall at the Seneca Library.

Rocking L Equine helped us find the perfect horse (Gunner) for my son after losing his earlier in the year. Miranda was more than gracious to answer any questions and provide pictures & videos of Gunner at our request.

We live in Arkansas and being a good distance away, I’ve never bought a horse sight unseen before. Gunner was everything he was described to be and more! He has helped fill a hole in my son’s heart and that means the world to us. I cannot thank Miranda and Rocking L Equine for going above and beyond to help us find our boy and bring him home.
